3. Difficult points:How to write the letters. The sentences: What’s that ? It’s a\an…

4. Teaching procedure: Step 1: Revision 1) Draw a thermometer on the blackboard. Invite four students to write the four words on the right names:The other students spell the words together. 2) Use the computer to show animals. Let the students guess: What’s that ?（设计意图：通过热身小游戏让学生对旧知识进行回忆，同时导入本课的新单词。）

Step 2: Presentation Teacher draws pictures on the blackboard. Students learn the new words: owl,parrot,panda and dog.（设计意图：通过教师的简笔画，学生的读、拼、写让学生对新单词有深刻的印象。）

Step 3: Look and say

Look at the video about the dialogue. Students listen and read the dialogue.

Students act out the dialogue in pairs. After the show, students make up their own dialogues using the new sentences. （设计意图：学生先练习本课的对话，掌握本课的知识，在此基础之上创编新对话，进一步理解和掌握本节课的重点句型。）

Step 4: Practice 1) Play a game: students take out their word cards. One student asks, the other guess. (Four students in one group) Example: What’s that ? 2) doing the exercise on the exercise book. （设计意图：通过小游戏再次调动学生学习的积极性，同时游戏和练习也进一步巩固了本课的重难点。）

Step 5: Summary Summarize what we have learnt today. （设计意图：通过小结的这个环节再次让学生明确本课的重难点。）
