Period 1: Different jobs in Mary’s family Hello, I’m Mary. I am a teacher. I give lessons to students. I love my students and I love my job. Today I want to tell you something about the jobs in my family. I have a big family. There are seven people in it. They’re my father Sam, my uncle Steve, my aunt Linda, my brother Ben, my husband John, my little son Kevin and I. Our jobs are so different.

My father Sam is a farmer. He is old but very healthy. He grows vegetables on his own farm. He always says, ‘No pains, no gains.’

My uncle Steve is a cook. He can cook nice food. He is good at cooking. He usually says, ‘I want to be a chef in the future. That’s my dream.’

Linda is my aunt. She is a shop assistant. She works in a clothes shop. She sells nice dresses. She is kind and friendly. She always smiles to others.

And my brother Ben is a busy worker. He can build a lot of things. He usually points to the high buildings and says, ‘Is that amazing? That’s my masterpiece.’

John is my husband. He is tall and smart. He is a pilot. He always flies an aeroplane from place to place. Pilot is his dream job. He loves his job very much. I have a little son. His name is Kevin. He is only seven years old. Kevin has a lot of different dream jobs. He always says, ‘I want to do everything in the future.’

Our jobs are so different. But we all love our jobs.
