一、教材分析

这一单元重点学习一些描述家庭成员的用语和词汇,其中包括一些家庭关系,职业的名称和一些描述外貌的词汇。本课是继续学习家庭成员brother,sister及其形容词young和old和学问年龄的句子“How old are you?”

并在此基础上将教学内容进行适当的扩展和延伸,培养学生实际口语的实际运用能力。

二、教学目标

1语言知识:(1)学生能听说读写下列词汇:

brother, sister, old, young. (2)学生能够理解并口头应答下列用语:

How old are you? I am _ years old. 2语言技能:培养学生对所学词汇和句型的运用能力,提高他们的交际能力。

3情感态度:培养学生日常交际的能力,激发学生使用英语语言进行表达的兴趣。

三、教学重点和难点:

1教学重点:学生掌握 brother , sister, old, young. 2教学难点:学生理解并口头应答 How old are you? I am _ years old. 四、教学准备:课件,手偶,录音机。

T: How are you today? Ss: I’m fine, thanks. And you? T: Fine, thanks. 2 Show Time:(4 minutes)

T: It’s show time now. Today we’ll talk about “Family”. Who wants to say something about your family? Volunteer? S1: ……

(设计意图:课前三分钟的展示可以是学生们提前准备的,也可以是课上临场发挥的,可以是老师带领学生做的展演,也可以是学生自己的展示,课前三分钟激发学生的学习兴趣的同时,可以让学生的读,写,听,说能力得到锻炼和提升。)

3 Review: T: Look at this photo, this is Jenny’s family. If you’re Jenny, Who can introduce your family memebers. For example, This is my mother, my mother is a bus driver, her name is Mary Smith. Who can repeat? S1: ……

(设计意图:学生在课前三分钟的演讲过程中谈论的“Family”的内容,很容易有此转换到Jenny’s family的介绍,顺其自然的过渡复习了上节课的知识。)

通过提示,让学生串联成句子:

This is my sister, Lynn. Her hair is very red. She is a pretty girl. Read together. Check someone. The same way: brother Bob (设计意图:用联想的方式让学生说出与图片相关的单词,让学生自由发挥,由于三年级学生,程度稍低,如果学生不能说出一些相关的句子,教师可以用提问问题的方式来引导学生。)

2 (1) compare: T: Look at the pairs of picture, there are some opposite words, now look, 通过对比一些图片,让学生说出一些学过的反义词:
