一、Revision Free talk（老师提问学生）

【设计意图】通过复习核心句型，勾起学生的回忆，巩固对场所、人物前后变化的描写，为本文的学习做铺垫。

二、Watch and guess Watch the pictures in the story, and guess the meaning. Then ask a few students to show their ideas. 【设计意图】让学生通过观察图片猜测故事大意，培养学生的观察能力，发挥学生的想象空间。

三、介绍文本背景，学生初读，了解故事是关于什么的。并提问学生，让学生自由回答：

—What is the story about? —How did people’s life change? ---What should we do for the earth? __Are there many whales now? 【设计意图】让学生带着问题去读故事，理解意思，找出并提炼问题的答案，培养学生自主学习的能力、理解能力和归纳能力。

三、Answer the questions(老师总结）

T: The magazine is about the past, the present and the future of the cooking, of the environment and of the whales. 板书三个时间短语。

四、Watch the cartoon

Get the students listen to the tape and follow it.
