Unit 3 Animals 第一课时

教学设计

一．教学目标：

1.

能够听说并认读动物相关的单词，如：lion, pig, cow, hippo, fox, wolf, sheep, snake, duck等。

2.

能够运用It has got .......

It is .....

It eats .....

It can ....等句型进行描述动物特征。

3.

引导学生树立爱护动物，保护动物的意识。

二．教学重难点: 重点：听说并认读重点单词：lion, pig, cow, hippo, fox, wolf, sheep, snake, duck。

难点：在情境中运用相关表达来描述这些动物的特征。

三．教学方法：

情境教学法、TPR教学法。

四．教学步骤：

Step 1: lead in Let’s enjoy:

Q: what’s the video about ?

设计意图：通过播放一个关于小朋友们谈论动物的短视频自然的引出本单元及本课的主题“animals”并板书课题，同时激发学生本节课的学习热情。

Step 2: warm up & revision 1.

Let’s do:

fly like a bird; swim like a fish; run like a rabbit; sit like a dog. 2.

Let’s chant: Look at the cat. It is fat. Look at the pig. It is big.

Look at the dog. It’s on the log. Look at the duck. It’s in the truck. Look at the bear. It’s on the pear. Oops! 3.

Let’s review the animals we have learned: cat, dog, duck, rabbit, bird, elephant, pig

etc.

设计意图：把三年级学过的动物及动词通过TPR的形式复现出来，帮助学生巩固旧知，再通过郎朗上口的chant渗透语音，让单词在语境中形成关联不再单调，如：cat-fat

pig-big

dog-log

duck-truck bear-pear . 同时也为后面的新知呈现环节的语音关联教学做铺垫。

Step 3: presentation

1.

Look and say : a. Show the picture of cake, then explicit the animal word “snake” . Then supply the questions “Where is the snake ?”

“ It’s on the cake.”

Take out the word pictures: snake, cake b. Guess : what’s in the box ? In the similar way to explicit the animal

word “fox” and “box”

“Where is the fox ?”

“ It’s in the box.”

Take out the word pictures: fox, box

设计意图：通过精心设计的场景渗透语音教学及联想记忆，引出新的动物词汇snake和fox ，让学生记忆更深刻，培养学生的联想力。

Guessing game: what animal is it ?

Ss are expected to guess the animal word according to the clues, for example: It has got four/two legs. It is black and white/brown. It eats grass/animals. It can swim/run. New words:

cow- wow

lion

hippo

sheep

wolf 设计意图：根据特征描述猜测是什么动物，既能激发学生思考的热情，又能引出本课的句型，让学生在语句中去感知和运用。穿插guessing game同时也能让词汇的教学不再单调乏味。

Make a new chant to help Ss to remember those words about animal. There is a snake on the cake. There is a fox in the box. Wow! A cow ! Sheep, hippo, wolf ! 设计意图：联系本课教学内容我创编了一个新的chant，同时在动物及相关词汇的旁边配上了图片，通过拍手踩点的节奏和学生一起来说唱，巩固本节课所学新词汇。

Free talk: what’s your favourite animal? 谈谈各自喜欢的小动物。

Step 3: consolidation 1.

Listen and number: tasks on the textbook P20. 2.

Read and sort：

(1) four legs

(2) two legs

(3) no legs 3.

Read and judge:

Yes or No

观察图片并根据

Has it got four legs/two legs ? Is it black and white ? Can it swim ? Does it eat grass ?等问题进行判断并回答。

设计意图：

在一系列的新知教学内容完成以后，回归课本，听音排序，适当穿插模仿动物声音的小活动，然后引导学生思考并结合生活实际经验根据动物特征简单归类，培养学生归类整理与思考的好习惯。

最后通过一个判断Yes or No的练习检测学生本节课的掌握情况以及培养学生对在回答问题后运用句型It has got.....

It is.....

It eats....

It can....

来完整表达的能力。

六．教学反思：

1.收获：

课堂活动中学生的参与性与积极性都较高，本节课的教学目标基本达成。学生基本都能听说并认读动物相关的单词，基本能够运用It has got four legs/ two long ears.

It is white/ brown/ grey.

It eats grass/ animals.

It can swim/ fly/run.

在教学部分动物单词渗透语音教学，如

snake, cake, fox, box, cow, wow, 更便于学生通过语音规律掌握单词发音技巧。

创编chant , 设置语音情境，丰富了语言教学，也让课堂更生动，学生更积极。

2.不足：

教学过程中新词呈现环节没有设置开小火车的游戏，让全体学生都能有机会参与到发音练习中，都能有机会开口单独读单词并纠音。

第一次上课之后反思，在Free talk : what's your favourite animal ? 环节, 为学生搭建的语言台阶还不够，只有两位同学大胆举手并尝试，说明我设计的这个语用环节对大部分学生来说有难度。因此我进行了调整和改进：把Free talk 环节favourite animal 口头展示的活动可以改进变成书面表达的活动，准备worksheet, 提供word bank, 让学生写一写自己最喜欢的动物并简单描述一下它的特征。在这次上课的时候便在末尾设计了Let's write的活动，但是因为时长关系，增加的这个活动完成以后超出了课节限制的时间，因此被减切掉了，本节课的时间控制得不是很好，有些教学环节和内容还有待改进和优化。
