The 1st period 第一课时
一、教学内容(Teaching content)
New words: dog, cat, tail, rabbit, hamster, turtle, bird, wing. 二、教学重难点(Key and Important items)
New words: dog, cat, tail, rabbit, hamster, turtle, bird, wing. 三、教学步骤(Teaching Steps)
Step1 Warming up activities 1 Daily greeting 2 Sing a song. Step 2 Presentation 1 Show the words one by one and write them on the blackboard. 2 Teach them one by one, and show how to act the new words about animals. Step 3 Presentation 1 T shows an animal doll and says:“ What is this?
Introduce the words about animals: a dog, a tail, a cat…

Step 4 practice

2 Sing a song. 3 Ask and answer about day, season and weather. Step 2 Revision
1 Sing a song about animals. 2 Review the words of animals.
Step 3 Presentation 1 Show the new words one by one and write them on the blackboard. 2 Teach them one by one, and show how to act the new words about. Step 3 Presentation 1 T shows an animal doll and says:“ What is this? Is this big or small?”
Introduce the new words: big, small, fat, thin. 2. Show the words “this, that, these, those”, T says:
Look, this cat is near us, so we can say “this cat”
That rabbit is far away, so we can say “that rabbit”. New words: this, that, these, those. Step 4 Practice 1. Listen to the CD and read the words one by one. 2. Write the words on the board first, then read the words. Let pupils point and read the words.
Correct their pronounciation when necessary. 3. In order to keep Ss’ attention, come to the board, then suddenly rub
out different wordss and let Ss to say the missing words. Continue until you have rubbed out all the words. Get Ss to say the words in groups and individually. 4. Show time. 5. Teaching Steps
Step 1 Warming up activities
1. Greeting.
2. Ask and answer about day, season and weather. Step 2 Presentation 1. Review the new words with Flash cards. 2. Lead students to read the words one by one. 3. Listen to the CD and read Part A.
Write down the basic sentence:
I like …
4 Ask Ss to look at the pictures and say which animals they like. 5 Ask Ss to make up a short dialogue in groups.
e.g. I like this rabbit. I like that cat…. Look at the ppt, the dog is near us, so we can say: “I like this dog.”
The rabbit is far away from us, so we can say: “ I like that rabbit. (Let students answer the questions.) Step 3 Practice
1. Show more ppt about the key structures, and let Ss stand in front of class, and say the sentences. Use “I like…it is…; I like…They are…”. 2. Show time. 3. Each team comes to the front, point and say. 四、教学反思(What have you got after teaching?)

教学内容(Teaching content): Practice Key words: dog, cat, turtle, hamster, bird, thin, fat, small, wing.

Step1.Greeting:

Let one student do duty report, and after finishing speaking, ask some questions about the duty report. 2.
Sing and dance. Step2. ①
Guess game: Show some pictures about the words “dog, rabbit, hamster, big, small etc. let students say out the words and read them correctly.

After they read the words, I will stick the words on the black board. When they guess all the words, let all the students read the words together. ③
Review the sentence “I like…”. Step3. Presentation Practice1: T says: Look, this is a rabbit, do you like this rabbit? Ss: Yes, I like this rabbit. T says: Look! That rabbit is far away from the boy, so the boy should say? Ss: I like that rabbit. Say the several sentences about the four pictures. Practice2: 1.
Tell pupils to place a paperclip in the middle of the circle with a pencil as shown below. 2. In the practice, pupils play a board game in pairs. They look at the animals and use the correct adjectives “fat, thin, big or small” to describe them. Step4. Group Works:

Train train go go go! Give students one minute to prepare.
Each team must say the whole sentence one by one within 30 seconds. If each team complete within 30 seconds, I can give them rewards.

Who is this woman? 2. Listen to the CD and ask pupils to answer:

Teaching Steps Step 1. Warming up activities 1. Greetings. 2. review the words and sentences. Step 2 Presentation 1. Get pupils to look at my mouth while pronounce the |k| sounds or play video in the Super E-book. The letter c/k make the voiced consonant sound /k/.
Step 3 Practice
1 Play the phonics game in the Super E-Book. ①Write the letters and say the letter sounds. Then say the words. __at, __ar, __itten, __id.
②listen and write the letter‘c’ or ‘k’. Say the sentences. I like this __ar. It is __at. 3. Tell pupils to hold a piece of paper in front of their mouths when they say the |k| sounds. The paper will move when they say |k|, because more air should be pushed out of the mouth. Step 4 Fun Corner
1. Look at the baby animals. What are they called? Puppy (baby dog)
kitten (baby cat)
chick (baby bird) 2. Play the CD and listen. 3. Teach Ss to say the words. 4. Lead them to perform different animals.
