Work unit: Unit 1, Attributive Clause,

NSEFC Student’s Book 1 Level: Grade 1 in Senior High Lesson type: Grammar Lesson length: 40 minutes



Material analysis: The teaching material is based on Student’s Book, Unit 1 Learning about language. There are only some examples about restrictive and non-restrictive attributive sentences. Besides, there are ten sentences with blanks for students to complete. It is not enough for students to understand the attributive sentences, so the teacher will add more examples and analysis in order to help students have a more systematic understanding of the grammar.



Students analysis: The students have already learnt the restrictive attributive clause last term, but some of them have forgotten the related knowledge, such as the relative words. They are active in thinking and curious to know more, but they are not very confident of speaking their minds.



Teaching objectives: After the class, the students are able

1.

To be more familiar with attributive clauses; 2.

To classify restrictive and non-restrictive attributive sentences and use the correct relative words;

3.

To write their own attributive sentences correctly.



Important points and difficult points: The students learn to summarize the usage of relative words in attributive clause.


