Unit one Breaking records教学设计

教学重点

了解文章的文体特点并以此指导学生进行阅读技能训练，如skimming， scanning, careful reading等阅读技能:并对文章深层次的理解及细节的欣赏，认识及分析主人公的人物特征及人物性格。

教学难点 1.各种阅读技能的训练。

2对文章的总体理解能力及人物评价。复述课文是检查学生对课文的理解程度，同时又是提高学生口语能力的重要方法。

三维教学目标

(一)知识技能

1.在阅读中练习几种阅读技能

2.通过本课的学习使学生能够在理解的基础上复述课文

3.体会文章的文体特点

(二)过程与方法

1.通过不同阅读训练技能的训练，掌握文章的脉络以及主要内容。

2.通过讨论相关体育项目，提高学生在真实交际活动提高用英语交角的能力。

1.了解吉尼斯纪录的相关知识以及勇于挑战打破吉尼斯纪录的杰出人物应具备的品质

2.鼓励学生参与各种有挑战性的运动
