一、教学准备

多媒体课件、录音机、磁带。

二、教学目标

知识目标:

掌握方位介词,能理解和掌握there be句型的肯定句的用法,并能用替换词造句。

技能目标:

使学生能描述“某处有某物”。

情感目标:

关注学生的内在需要,在活动中培养学生的协作精神和竞争意识,培养学生热爱生活的积极情感态度。

三、教学重难点

“There is/are…”、“What’s on/under/in…?”的掌握。

理解并灵活使用“There be”句型的一般疑问句、否定句及其肯定与否定回答。

四、教学过程

Step1.Warm-up 1. Free talk

2. Review the proportions

on, in, under, near, beside, behind, in front of ,between Step2.Presentation and practice 1.Listen and do: Put your…on/in/under…the …

2. Look at the pictures: (1) T: What is on the desk? Ss: There is a book on it. (2) T: What is in the box? Ss: There is a pencil in it. (3) T: What is under the chair? Ss: There are two hens under it.

(4) T: What is in the tree? Ss: There are three birds in it. ……

3. Practice the sentence with “there is (are)”

4. Summarize: What’s on/in/under…the…? There is +a/an single form + on/in/under…the…; There are + plural form +on/in/under…the…

Step3.Learn the dialogue

1. Listen to the tape for the first time; 2. Listen and answer the questions. 3. Read after me. 4. Read together 5.

Role play Step4.Consolidation Point to the things in the classroom and ask the students to practice the sentence with “there be”.

e.g: T: What’s in our classroom?

S: There is /are…in our classroom.

T: What’s on your desk?

S: There is a book on my desk. T: What’s behind your chair?

S: There is a desk behind my chair. ……
