课时目标：

教学过程：



Step one: Warm-up. 1.

Greeting. 2.

Free talk.

T: Good morning, XX.

S1: Good morning, Miss Min.

T: I can’t find my English book. Where is it?

S1: Look! It’s on the chair.

T: Oh, yes. Thank you.



Step two: Lead-in. 1.

Review time.

Show students five blanks that represents the word which consists of five letters, then ask students to guess letter by letter.

E.g.: __ __ __ __ __

ruler

Words: close, ruler, three 2.

Video time.

A. Watch the short video “Ten little Indians”.

B. Sing the song with ten fingers. 3.

Words time.

A. Count the numbers from one to ten.

B. Read the numbers one by one.

C. Read the numbers in different places. Phone numbers: 119, 95528... License numbers: K1279, D8724...

D. Number game: Passing a code. Each group gets a different set of numbers, then pass the numbers as a secret

code and compete that which group passes the code correctly. E.g.: 66913, 57211, 83258, 49656



Step three: Presentation. 1.

Study “How old are you?”

T: Boys and girls. I know all your names. And I also want to know your ages. Would you like to tell me?

Ss: Yes.

T: How old are you, XX?

S1: I’m nine / ten. 2.

Study “How lovely!”

T: Look at my toy panda.

Ss: How lovely!

T: This is for you.

Ss: Thank you. 3.

Listen to the tape and answer questions.

Q: How old are you?

A: Mike -- nine Helen -- eight Tim -- two 4.

Listen to the tape again and read after it sentence by sentence. 5.

Read together then dub for it. 6.

Work in pairs and try to act it out.


