Warm-up

Duty report. Let’s chant. (Moudle 3, unit 2, part4.)

2．Lead-in First, look and say. The teacher shows some action pictures, but Ss can only see part of these pictures. Ss guess and say.(PPT shows)

Answers: play bastball, play football, sing, dance, drink, eat, tidy my room

Then, the teacher asks Ss to add “ing” to these words.(answers: playing bastball, playing football, singing, dancing, drinking, eating, cleaning my room)

At the same time, the teacher put these words on the blankboard.

Ss read them together. The third, sentences practise. I’m playing basetball. I’m eating. (PPT shows.) 3. New lesson Procedure 1: T: How can we know what he or she is doing?

New sentence: What are you doing? (The teacher write the title on the blackboard. Ss follow and reapeat more times. Then the teacher ask Ss to read it , personal and group) Procedure 2: Show cartoon 1 Question: What is the bear doing? (I’m swimming.) Procedure 3: New words: call, calling, noise. The teacher writes them on the blacboard, asks Ss to take out their hands and write. Procedure 4: Show cartoon 2

Ss watch the cartoon and underline sentences “What are you doing?”. Then the teacher checks answers. Procedure 5: Group works

Two Ss a group practice the dialouge.(make a call) What are you doing?

I’m playingbasetball. Procedure 6: Play a game, “one, two, three, bomb”. Procedure7: Play a game, “please make action!”

Procedure 8: Play a game, “I’m the reporter.”

Procedure9: Let’s practise. 4 exercises for Ss.
