Step 1 Warming up

1. Greeting.

Hello, boys and girls. How are you today? 2. Free talk. T: How is the weather today? What season is it now?

Yes, you are great. Last term, we’ve learned the seasons in a year. Now I will ask you some questions? How many seasons are there in a year? Do you know what they are?

Yes, you’re great. (板书四季)

What’s your favorite season?

Now today we will enjoy the summer fun.

Step 2 Presentation

1. Look and say Show the pictures of different seasons. (教师出示有关四季的图片) T: What season is it? How’s the weather in ______?

How do you feel in _______? What do you wear in ______? Ok, look at this picture, boys and girls. Because of the different weather and temperature, the trees are

also different. Something changed on the tree, can you find them? Yes, that’s right. The leaves change. Please pay more attention to the words “leaf” and “leaves”. Here is a piece of leaf, and there are three leaves.

What about you? What do you like to do in summer? Here are some pictures and phrases maybe you will use. You can choose from or use your own words. Both are ok.

3. Part 3

Talk and write T: Now we know the different weather and the change of the trees in different seasons. Please open your books and turn to page 39, let’s finish the chart in part 3. Here you have 2 minutes.

Group work:

We use words and phrases filling the chart. But how to describe different seasons or your favorite season with sentences?

Let’s have a group work. Interview your partners with these questions. One student answers and the other three ask. Then change. Understand? Here you have 3 minutes to prepare, then show it for us.
