Learning about language Grammar：The Present Perfect Passive Voice Target students：senior 1 Instructor: 张爱丽

Teaching objectives: After finishing the class, students will be able to 1. Discover and understand the grammar pattern of the Present Perfect Passive Voice. 2. Analyze the grammar features and generalize the rules of the Present Perfect Passive Voice. 3. Apply the grammar into speaking and writing with the help of the teacher. Teaching difficulties: 1. How to help students generalize the rules of the grammar. 2. How to inspire and guide students to speak and write their own sentences by using the present perfect passive voice when necessary. Teaching methods: by multi-media and ppt. Teaching procedures:

Step 1 Lead in Teacher asks some questions and writes answers including the present perfect tense on the blackboard and ask Ss to translate them into Chinese. Then tells them we can say this in another way and show the sentences on the screen. Ask Ss to pick out more than two sentences in the present perfect passive voice from the reading passage. Step 2 Presentation Now show the sentences that Ss picked out from the reading passage on the screen. Examples: T: Can you translate these sentences into Chinese? T: Can you understand the meanings of the sentences? Teacher helps them if necessary. Step 3 Analyze the grammar T gives more sentences and write them on the Bb 1. The bridge has been built in my hometown. 2. A plan has not been made by my family. 3. More information has been given on its website by the government. 4. All workers in the company have been provided with laptops since the beginning of the year.

5. Have two new computer rooms been set up in our school? Ask Ss to compare the above sentences, and find out the rules about the present perfect passive voice.

Step 4 Generalize the rules T shows a table for Ss and guide them to focus on the form and function of the present perfect passive voice. 肯定式

Help them if necessary. Step 6 Group work (speaking and writing) After finishing the ex2 on page 21 in SB, T designs a task for Ss.

T: In the past few years great changes have taken placed in our hometown Tianshui. Can you talk about them? Pay attention to use the present perfect passive voice. Then ask Ss to write down these sentences and share them in class. Step 7 Homework 1. Please continue to write great changes in my hometown if

you like and be sure to use the present perfect passive voice. 2. Finish the exx 1-2 on page 57 in your workbook.
