Warming up

Show some some pictures of different kinds of androids. Meanwhile, introduce some common sense about how the football team works. 2. Pre-reading

Guide the students to look at the picture in their books and predict the content of the passage with the help of the title. Invite some students to report their predictions. 3.

Skimming The passage is about an android named Andy, who is a striker on the football team. 4.

Careful reading Let the students read the passage for three minutes and then fill the file for Andy. Name: Andy Size: as big as a human Appearance:looks like a human Character:competitive, co-operative Ability: can move and think like a human Job: striker 5.

Post reading 

Divide the students into small groups and let them create their own robots. My Own Robot Name: Size: Ability:
