my great pleasure to be here to share my teaching design with you. I really hope that all of you can give me your valuable advice, thank you! Today I am going to talk about the grammar, Book 2

Unit 3 Computers The language function of this lesson is to talk about the Attributive Clause. The study task is: What did you know about computers? When can we use it? This lesson is for junior high school Ss., they have learnt English for more than three years. They have the basic knowledge of English, and what’s more, they’ve

learnt the Attributive Clause, so it’ll be easier for them to learn this lesson. As for some poor Ss in learning English, I’ll give them more chances to practice, encourage them, and increase their interests in learning English. Based on the above analysis, I made out the following teaching aims. Teaching aims Knowledge objects: to make sure Ss master key words and phrases, and the new sentence pattern. Ability objects: to train their learning abilities, such as listening, speaking, acting, and reading. Emotional objects: to foster their consciousness of good cooperation and proper competition.

To help them love life, value study life, and trust themselves. The important points are the 5 new words, the 2 phrases, and the new sentence pattern. The difficult point is how to use Attributive Clause In order to achieve the above teaching aims, I’ll

use the following teaching methods

In this lesson I will mainly use “Task-based language teaching method”. TBLT can stimulate Ss’ initiative in learning and develop their ability in language application.

The teaching aids are tape recorder, multi-media computer, blackboard and some pictures. As for the teaching procedure, I’ll divide it into 6 steps, warming up, presentation, practice, assessment, summary, and homework. Now I’ll start my lesson from step 1 warming up

I’ll have a greeting with my Ss. (hello, boys and girls) 2.

Free talk between teacher and students. Step2 Teaching New Text

Now, I’ll mainly talk about this step. First, I will use some pictures to teach new words Present the pattern: Attributive Clause Use the PPT present the dialogue. Set a situation to help Ss understand

Step3 practice I’ll explain the example and then ask them to do it in groups.

Step4 Assessment Finish “lets check” of this unit to check the knowledge Ss have learnt in this period. Step 5 summary In this part, I’ll ask, “What have you leant today?”

by showing the blackboard design, then, I’ll give them comments. Then I’ll say all of you did a good job. Step6 Homework (writing, continue the story, recite, retell) Blackboard Design In order to make the blackboard design clearly and neatly, I will divide the blackboard into three parts. On the left, I will write the teaching aims; in the middle of the blackboard, there should be important and difficult language points, and on the right, I will write the summary of the whole class.
