一、教材内容分析

本课为外研社版英语课本必修3模块2的reading 部分，以human development report作为中心话题，引入相关的新单词的学习和通过快速阅读和细读来获得文章信息，并将之运用到讨论中。

二、学情分析

学生经过高一的学习，对于高中的英语学习已经掌握了一定的方法，掌握了更多的语言基础知识。在语言方面也有了一定的提高。但是学生的语言表达能力还有很大的不足，所以有些学生在学习过程中不愿意参加与此相关的学习活动。为此，在本课的教学中，要通过创设符和学生学习实际的情境，让学生运用和本话题有关的真实语言交际中，激发学生的学习热情，促进学生的语言综合运能力。

三、教学目标与教学重点

语言知识目标：掌握本课课文中的主要词汇和表达

语言能力目标：能培养学生归纳数据和分析数据的能力，培养学生对于对比类文章的阅读技巧

文化意识目标：通过对于人类发展报告的了解，让学生认识到世界发展的不平衡，在发展本国的同时，也要和其他国家一起共同努力，让学生树立良好的人生观，培养世界意识

情感态度目标：通过对于语言知识的学习，培养学生良好的学习方法，通过设置不同的学习活动，培养学生良好的生活和学习习惯，指导学生积极与他人合作学习，培养其团队精神

教学重点：了解和掌握与人类发展有关的词汇和表达方式

教学难点：能运用所学习的知识，完成各种学习任务，并在实际语言活动中去灵活应用，培养学生的语言运用能力和英语思维

教法及学法：采用任务型教学法，让学生通过合作学习和互动学习进行语言知识学习和应用。在整个教学活动中，通过合作、互动、体验、探究的学习方式，培养和强化学生的语言实践能力和自主学习能力。
