Teaching content:
Lesson 4 Teaching aims and demands: 1. Learn the following new words: Chinese book English book 2. Go on learning the pattern: What’s in my bag…?
3. Let’s play. (Consolidate the pattern “ What’s in my bag?”)
Teaching important and difficult points: 1. Let the students comprehend and applicate the dialogue. 2. Make the students comprehend and applicate the article “ a / an”.
Teaching procedures: Step 1 Revision 1. Sing a song “ Nice to see you again.”
2. Review the chant they learnt from Lesson 2. 3. Play commands. ( Show me your marker / crayon / water bottle…)
4. Let the students do a chain drill like this: A: Hi, … Guess what’s in my pencil-box? B: A / an …? Hello, … Guess what’s in my pencil-box? C: A / an…?
Step 2 Presentation 1. Learn the new words: Chinese book English book 2. Play commands. Show me a Chinese book / an English book. 3. Teach the new dialogue. Step 3 Practice 1. Ask the students to do pair work. 2. Invite several pairs to the front to act out the dialogue for their classmates. 3. Let’s play.
