Teaching Procedures: Step 1: Greeting

Good afternoon, boys and girls Step 2. Warming- up

Cite the Chinese saying: Women can hold up half the sky

Ask Ss the women around the world or in the history

Introduce two great and successful women

Show some pictures to introduce the character in the passage Step 3: Fast Reading

Ask Ss to read the passage as fast as possible and then do the following tasks.

Task 1: Match the main idea with the paragraph

Task2: Multiple choice Step 4: Careful Reading

Para 1: Listen to the material of Para 1 and then finish the exercise.

Para 2: Encourage some groups to read the Para 2 and then finish the exercise.

Para 3: Encourage some volunteers to read the Para 3 aloud and then finish the exercise.

Para 4: Read it together

Write a short passage about the person who you think is great.
