A Famous Football Players 教学目标：

1.学生能在教师的帮助和图片的提示下读懂本课故事；

2.学生能够回答本课的问题；

3.学生在图片和关键词的提示下复述故事。

教学重难点：bottle, coach, dig/dug a hole 教学准备：PPT，足球，板书卡片

教学过程：

Ⅰ.Greetings: T: Good morning ladies and gentlemen! Ss: Good morning Amy! T: How are you today? Ss: I’m fine. T: Are you ready for the class? Ss: Yes. T: Good!

Ⅱ.Review: T: what did you do yesterday/last Sunday? Ss: I did my homework/read books... T: Let’s look at some pictures and say” What did he/she do last weekend?” （出示图片）

What did he/she do? Ss: He/ She played ping pang/played basketball/Played football…

T: Wonderful! Can you play football? Today two friends want to give us a football show, Let’s welcome! （两学生带着足球上台表演）

T: Did they play well? Ss: Yes! T: I think they will be famous football players in the future!

Ⅲ.Presentation: 1.

T: Do you know football players? Let’s see.

（出示梅西、C罗、卡卡图片）

He is Messi/C罗/kaka. They are famous football players. （领读famous）

“famous” means everyone know them.

T: Today we will learn a story about a boy. He is a famous football player in

the future. （出示图片）Look at the boy What is he wearing?/Guess what does he like to do? S1: He is wearing a T-shirt and shorts. S2: I think he likes to play football. T: Great! Watch Part 1 and find the answer. Why did the boy use boxes and bottles an his footballs? （听Part 1音频）

Ss: Because he liked to play football very much, but his parents couldn’t by him a football. （出示文本，解释bottles，跟读音频）

（出示两张对比图）T: Look at these two pictures. What happened? Ss: The boy had a football. T:Clear! Why did he have a football? Who helped him? There was a man. Who was he? （出示coach一词，给出以下词汇:boat, coat, goat, road,（让学生试着读出coach）

What is coach? （出示两幅图来解释）

Can you explain it in English? Ss: Coach is like a teacher. T: Exerllent! Why did the coach give the boy a football? Let’s read Part 2 quickly and underline the answer.

（读Part 2 画出答案）

Ss: Because he thought the boy would be a good player. （出示文本，解释harder, 跟读音频）

T: How do you think of the coach? Ss: He is kind. 4.

T: The coach is kind. Christmas was coming! The boy wanted to thank the coach, but he had no money. What did he do for the coach at Christmas time? Read Part 3 silently and choose. （默读Part 3 并选择）

Ss: B. He dug a hole for the Christmas tree.（解释dug. 并给出原型dig）

T: Let’s do the role play. Coach: What are you doing? Boy: I’m digging a hole.

Coach: Why? Boy: I can’t buy you a Christmas gift, but I can dig a hole for your Christmas tree. Coach: This is the best Christmas gift!（找三四组学生展示）

T: The boy is also kind. He was in coach’s team. What happened?

Read Part 4 and fill in the blanks. （细读Part 4并填空，解释The World Cup, 齐读文本）

T: Do you know who is he? Ss: Pele. T: Yeah. He is the king of the football.（观看Pele世界杯进球视频）

He said” I was born for soccer, just as Beethoven was born for music.”

What does mean? （小组讨论）

Ss: 我为足球而生，就像贝多芬为音乐而生。

T: Good try! Pele was a great football player!

T: What did you learn from Pele? Why did Pele become a famous football player in the world? （引导学生说出：interest, work hard, gratefulness）

If you want to do something, you have interest, you work hard and you have gratefulness, You will be success, your dream will come true.

课后反思：

本课是节故事课，讲的是球王贝利小时候家境贫困，但仍然坚持踢球。后来无意间被巴西队教练发现并邀请他加入球队。经过不懈努力，贝利及其队友荣获大力神杯的励志故事。上课伊始，我从学生们感兴趣的足球表演、球星入手，引出the famous football player这一主题，而后又采取分段阅读、默读等不同方式进行提问教学，问题由易到难，让学生循序渐进感知故事。对于难以理解的词汇或词组，我会用图片、动作等教授。最后给出主线人物--贝利，世界球王，观看视频，并提出问题：What can we learn from Pele?得到情感上的升华。整节课节奏紧凑，一气呵成，学生能复述课文，基本达到教学目标。但是也有些遗憾的地方，学生听读课文较少，导致后面复述课文时不是非常流畅，个别单词发音不够准确。在以后的教学中，应以学生多读多听为主，达到更好的效果。
