设计思想与理论依据

《普通高中英语课程标准（实验）》语言技能目标（六级）读的目标：“能通过不同信息渠道查找所需信息”语言技能目标（七级）读的目标：“能从一般性的文章中获取和处理主要信息。”

《普通高中英语课程标准（实验）》在教材使用建议中指出：“教师要善于结合教学实际的需要，灵活地和有创造性地使用教材，对教材的内容、编排顺序等方面进行适当的取舍或调整。”

本节课分为四部分，第一部分Lead-in,结合时政英国脱欧引出本单元话题：英国，激发学生阅读兴趣。第二部分pre-reading，展示图片，使学生了解相关背景知识，减少阅读中的障碍。第三部分while reading，背景知识和词汇障碍部分解决后，给学生时间阅读，用skimming和scanning完成四个任务。第四部分post-reading，结合课文内容进行讨论，对课文内容进行扩展。

教学背景分析

教学内容：

本节课是人教版教材必修5 Unit2 The United Kingdom第1课时，阅读课。本单元主要话题是本单元的话题是“英国”。通过阅读使学生了解英国的历史和地理位置，国家的构成及名胜古迹。本节课的阅读文章

“Puzzles in Geography”是从地理、历史、政治、文化等多角度说明了联合王国的形成、发展，以及他的风土人情和人文景观。学生通过阅读对英国有了一个比较详实的认识，拓宽了知识面，有助于深入的理解和领悟英国语言和英国文化习俗。

教学方法：

采用任务型教学法，KWL教学模式，阅读过程中设置不同任务，运用不同的阅读技巧来提高学生的阅读能力。创设真实情景，关注用中学，学中用，来进一步加强学生对英国的了解。

教学目标及重、难点

教学目标：At the end of this class, the students are able to

(1) have a better understanding of the reading passage and learn to use some

key words and expressions. (2) learn more about the United Kingdom.

(3) understand the meaning of cooperative learning. 教学重点：(1) How to improve the students’ reading skills with efficiency.

(2) Help the students understand how the United Kingdom was

geographically and historically. 教学难点：(1) Understand the whole passage.

(2) Introduce the United Kingdom to friend.
