1.This period includes speaking and writing,which offers the students an opportunity to develop their comic skills and learn to write humorous stories.Before class,the students are required to prepare a joke or funny story in groups.In class,the teacher and the students will have a discussion about what is a good way to tell a joke,and then put these ideas into practice when they tell their own jokes or stories.Before writing the teacher can take the story of Mary and the plums

Step I. Lead-in Let students watch a funny video played by Mr Bean to talk about funny stories. Step II.speaking Listen to the tape and discuss in groups whether the story you listened to is funny and give your reasons. StepIII.Process writing Think of a funny English or Chinese story and tell it in groups, While telling your story ,use facial expressions and some acting to help you as funny as you can. 写作时应注意以下几点：

1. 确定文体：幽默故事大多属于记叙文。

2. 主体时态：文章以一般过去时或一般现在时为主。

3. 主体人称：第一人称或第三人称 4. 内容要点：①故事场景；②展开情节；③意外结尾。
