Use several pictures and some simple sentences to lead students to the topic of the new passage. 1

Step 2. Words Review

Review the new words in a few minutes so as to let students have a better understanding of the passage. Step 3. Skimming

Ask students to skim the passage and find out the main idea of the passage and the main idea of each part. Step 4. Scanning

Ask students to read each part carefully and do some exercises related with the passage, such as matching, filling in the blanks, answering the questions and so on. Step 5. Revision

After learning the passage, use a few minutes to review the important and useful words and phrases so as to strengthen students’

memory. Step 6. Retelling

Give some key words to students and ask them to retell the first part. Step 7. Homework 1)
