本单元通过两位女孩李黛玉与刘茜的加拿大之旅，向学生展示了加拿大的一些基本概况，包括它的地理位置、主要城市、风土人情以及它的多元文化。通过学习本单元，让学生对加拿大有更多的了解，使学生能够用所学的词汇与句式表达方向与位置，并学会条理地写出旅游过程中的所见所闻。

学情分析

本单元的话题和旅游有关又涉及中西地理和文化的差异，学生容易产生兴趣。但是，学生在获取信息、处理信息，对文章的整体把握能力上比较弱。所以在本课的教学中，除了进一步加强阅读技巧的训练外，还得通过阅读任务培养学生对文章的整体把握能力和归纳能力。同时训练学生的口语表达能力。
