本课是人教版必修4 Unit2的learning about language 中的grammar，主要是让学生学习并掌握运用V-ing形式做主语或宾语的用法。

教学目标

& ways Step 1 Warming up

1. To have a free talk about the pictures of the signs. (Parking, spitting, littering and smoking are all in V–ing forms)

2. To tell which one is correct.动词能否做主语，动词能否做宾语。

【设计目的】简单的交流使学生能尽快进入一个轻松自然的英语课堂；并通过一系列的图片导入本节课的V-ing，激发学生学习的兴趣，并让学生分辨出V-ing形式做主语或宾语，为下面的阅读任务做好铺垫。

Step 2 V-ing form as subject Task 1: complete the sentences

【设计目的】通过看图完成句子的形式，学生学会用图片及已学知识，从而弄懂V-ing 形式作主语的位置及用法，结合图片更生动有趣一些。

Task 2 :Role play

Read the sentences in three pictures, and role play it. Sorry, a traffic jam. I promise that I’ll be on time next time. It’s no use saying such a thing. Summary: V-ing 形式作主语位于句末，用it 做形式主语。

It is worth/ worthwhile doing. It is a waste of time doing. There is no 结构中。

【设计目的】通过设计角色扮演，让学生能更加深入地去了解V-ing 形式作主语置于句末的用法，提高学生的应用能力并熟悉相关句式。

Task 3: V-ing的否定形式

动词-ing形式的否定形式是在其前面加not. Not cleaning her teeth made her smell bad. 即时练习：

(没有完成作业)makes him upset. (Not finishing his homework)

(没有按时回家)made her parents worried.（Not coming home on time）

【设计目的】结合V-ing形式的否定形式例题的呈现，让每个学生完成即时练习，

从中提高学生对此知识点的掌握程度。

Step 3 V-ing form as object 1: complete the sentences

【设计目的】通过看图句子的形式，学生学会用图片及已学知识，从而弄懂V-ing 形式作宾语的位置及用法。

2 :作动词+介词构成的短语的宾语

在分类呈现V-ing形式做主语和宾语的规律，并做了一定的练习后，让学生通读课本上的总结，可以帮助他们梳理语法知识，有条理地进行强化记忆。在以后的教学中，可以补充更多的V-ing形式做主语和宾语的练习，特别是语篇的练习，让学生逐步掌握这一语法现象。
