Lesson Plan Book 4 Unit 2 Grammar (period 2) ---review the use of v-ing form as subject and object

一、Analysis of the context This is the second lesson of the grammar of unit 2，last lass, students had learned about the basic usage of v-ing form as subject and object .so in this lesson, i intend to review the relative usage of the grammar and introduce some other key points of it. At the same time, the continuous drills will make students fell bored, so i want to adopt the way of appreciating movie to learn the grammar, therefore our students will make a deep impression on it.

二Teaching objectives By the end of this lesson, students should be able to: 1. learn to use the v-ing form as subject and object appropriately in context. 2. learn to appreciate the usage of language in a classical movie. 3. learn to cooperate with each other and learn from each other in group work. 三、Teaching procedures Step I：Lead in Students are guided to recall the main plots of the movie Flipped by putting the scenes of the movie in the right order. Here is the task: Put the following scenes in the right order. 1. Influenced by her optimism, Bryce began to agree with Julie’s belief and regretted hurting her feelings. 2. She refused to chat with Bryce after he had done a set of foolish deed which really broke her heart. 3. Julie felt flipped because of Bryce’s brilliant bright eyes. 4. Julie felt sad because her favorite jewel --a sycamore tree (梧桐树)was cut down and Bryce didn't help her. 5. Bryce's planting another sycamore tree won back Julie’s love. 6. He was fed up with her and tried his best to get away from her stalking.（跟踪

Step III: Role play Students will give their performances according to the movie, and the rest of the class will make some comments on the performers.

Step Ⅳ: Find out the errors in the sentences.
