一、Analyzing the teaching material:教材内容分析

This period is about the useful words,expressions and structures learned in the reading part,from the exercises in this period,the students can consolidate what they learned in the reading part,and then to discover and learn to use the following useful structures: the v–ing form as the subject & object.

1、Knowledge and Skills：知识与技能

To discover and learn to use some useful words and expressions Enable students to master the usage of the words and expressions in the learning about language and use the v-ing form as subject and object correctly and freely. 2、Process and Strategies: 过程与方法

The teacher may lead the students to sum up some grammatical items

Give some necessary explanation. 3、Feelings and Value: 情感态度与价值观：

1). The studying of this part will get students to become interested in grammar learning. 2). Develop students’ sense of group cooperation.

三、Analyzing the students: 学习者特征分析

In this period ,mainly deal with the grammar—the use of the v-ing form as the subject and object. Students often feel the v-ing form abstract and difficult, so it is necessary to make the lesson interesting and simple in order to make it easy

accepted and understood. What’

more, design some simple exercises and connect the lesson with our daily life in order to make the lesson more interesting and get students to master the usages of it.

Explaining, group work,discussing and practising:Most students in the class think the grammar rules are boring and are not interested in learning grammar .It is difficult for them to put they have learned into practice. In order to make the grammar lesson interesting and lively, I design different tasks according to different students’ level and let them join in to arouse their interest and confidence

To review the reading passage and motivate the student to improve the ability of retelling in English.

To enforce the usages about the words filled in the blanks,and promote their ability of the group spirit. Step I

Greeting and Revision

1.Greetings.

2. Revision: Ask one of the students to retell the passage about Dr Yuan,and give judgement.

Greet the teacher and retell the reading passage in English.

Step II Word study

Ask students to finish Exercise 1,2.and 3.and give time to let the students to find out and discuss their answers together. Complete the sentences with the words from the box in proper forms, and discuss their answers in groups. Step III

Exercises and Practice

To show some exercises about the grammar to test what the students have learn about the grammar, correct and explain the mistakes that they have made during the process. Finish the exercises:

1.translate the sentences in each question,make the best choice,and give out their reasons about the answer. 2.rewrite the sentences given on the screen using the gerund or the v-ing form. To check the students whether they have mastered the rules of v-ing form and use it correctly and freely List out the homework about the grammar: 1. Summarize the rules of v-ing form as the Subject and Object in your own way. 2. Finish the exercises of “Discovering

useful structures”on Page 13. Step V 3. Do some research on Homework

verbs following the questions: Which verbs should be followed by v-ing form as object? Which verbs should be followed by “to do”? Which verbs can be followed by both forms? 七：教学评价设计

利用课前素材提供的语法学习内容，在帮助学生学习知识的基础上指导学生用探究的途径学习新的语法知识，从该语法大的框架结构上引导学生发现和归纳动名词做主语与宾语的规则并培养学生运用语言的能力。

八、帮助与总结

课前提醒学生预习并收集与动名词做主语与宾语有关的资料，有条件的学生要求他们从网络上收集资料，课堂上多调动学生的积极性，让学生多交流发表自己的见解，教师及时的给予评价和鼓励。
