Harry’s Trouble

一、教材分析:

本节课是攀登英语阅读系列的第四级分级读物。围绕着小刺猬的刺来展开本节课的故事教学。通过图画生动形象地告诉孩子每个人都有自己的长处或短处,要学会在接受自己的基础上来发扬自己的长处。故事通过spines导入trouble,再由trouble转向pride,让学生体会到了事物的两面性;同时学生通过Harry的情感变化,也能体会故事的深层含义;最后一张开心的小刺猬和大灰狼的图片的留白,让学生展开丰富想象,大胆的去猜测、续写故事的结局,培养学生的思维品质和语言的综合运用能力。

二、学情分析:

六年级的学生有了一定的语言基础,掌握一定的动词短语及Can的用法,并能够借助图片的提示大胆的猜测句意。所以在这节课,我想尝试让学生更多的是观察、思考与语言的输出。教师给学生搭建支架,多提启发性、开放性的问题、引导学生仔细观察图片,把课堂真正交给学生,通过学生之间的讨论,引导他们获取关键信息,使学生积极思考,从而理解故事大意。

三、教学目标:

知识与技能:

1.通过结合语境、图片让学生大胆的猜测生词:spines、trouble、get rid of、soft fur、、fought、was proud of等。

2.通过默读、寻找关键词让学生能使用He can’t句型来正确的描述What's Harry's

trouble? 3.在理解故事内容的基础上让学生制作思维导图,并能运用思维导图来复述故事。

过程与方法:

教师的指导下,通过问题式阅读,帮助学生理解故事情节。

情感态度价值观:

能够启发学生意识到事物的两面性,学会更好的认识和悦纳自己;

培养学生阅读的兴趣,提高学生的语言的综合运用能力和思维品质。

四、教学重难点

教学重点:

1.能够借助图片读懂并理解故事大意。

2.在教师的指导下尝试运用阅读策略:预测策略、猜测策略、扫读策略等。

教学难点:

1.能够领会到故事背后的含义,Every coin has two sides.

教学过程:

Step1、Pr-reading

1. Enjoy a song.(2)

T: Hello, boys and girls. Shall we begin our class? Are you ready?

T: First, let’s enjoy a song.(Show me your hands, ok, everybody? Very good! Thank you, sit down, please.)

2. Free talk.(3)

1) We know this song is about “Friends”

Do you have friends?

Who is your best friend?

Is he tall?

What…hobbies? 3. Can I also be your best friend? What do you want to know about me?

I like reading stories .So, Here is a story for you .And I have lots of gifts for you. 【设计意图】通过歌曲形式活跃课堂气氛,在Free talk 环节,通过师生之间的问答复习所学过的句型和短语,激活图式,为本节课做好准备。

Step2、While-reading 一、Look and say.

Show a picture to Ss, then talk about it.

Who is he ? 1)

What can you see in the picture? He is a hedgehog .His name is Harry. So, from this picture we know Harry is a Hedgehog.. 2) Look at his face, Harry is __.Can you tell me why is he sad? Because he doesn't like his __ 【新授spines】

He doesn't like his spines. The spines can bring __ 【新授trouble】

So, the title of the story is Harry’s trouble

Boys and girls, when you see this title , What do you want to know? --What’s Harry’s trouble? --评价That’s a good question. What do you want to know about the whole story ?

Think about it! Then talk with your partner. 学生提问,教师不板书。

You have some questions about this story .Never mind,Boys and girls, when you get a book, please try to find out “Who are in the story?”(Is there only Harry in the story? so you can ask…)Then we all want to know

“What will happen?”and “What the end of the story?”

【设计意图】培养学生在时间、地点、人物和事件的能力,激发学生探究的乐趣。让学生根据图片进行故事情节的预判与猜测,培养学生的观察能力和思维品质。

二、Read and find.

T:Harry’s was sad . the spines can bring trouble.

If you were Harry ,what would you want to do ?

Hide yourself -----you still have no friends. cut the spines------That will hurt yourself Get rid of ---That also can hurt you

抛出问题,引导学生去猜测故事的发展。在情境中感知生词get rid of的含义并引出What does Harry want to do ? Anyway Harry wants to get rid of all his spines.----Can he do that?If I am Harry I think I can play other games for example play badminton and ride a bike.

I wish I could have soft fur like a squirrel.T: Will his wish come true? ----It just a dream . 【设计意图】抛出问题,引导学生去猜测故事的发展。在情境中感知生词get rid of的含义并让学生体会到要悦纳自己。

四、Read and talk

What are they doing now?—They are playing happily. But where is Harry?—He is sitting alone. 2)At that time, A bad wolf came, What will they do ? Will they run?Look, everybody was afraid, but not Harry.

Can he win?----The wolf was badly hurt and run away. Harry was win .

What are they saying now?---everyone was very proud of him—How did he feel?---He was happy. The spines can bring pride.

Also They found a good way to play together. Can he play with his friends?Look They put the fruits on his spines. They can playing happily. Harry’s trouble become his pride now. 收尾呼应点题Do the spines always bring trouble?

Step3:Post-reading. 1.

Do you like this story? Do you like Harry? Why?-----Helpful/brave/kind.

Read the story. 2.

Make mind map: Look, these key words are all from the story. First, please catch out the Theme of the story. Then you have to give some facts to support the theme. Are you clear?
