教学设计说明：

【教材分析】

本课是牛津上海版小学英语五年级M4U1 Water课文的教学。这篇课文是一篇较长的阅读文章。

在教学中，本课也有针对性地对学生的听, 说, 读, 写进行了一定的操练, 以便提高学生综合运用语言的能力。本课课文所涉及的内容为水的用途，联系了生活实际，是学生较为熟知的话题。

【学情分析】

本节课的授课对象是本校五（6）班的学生，该班特点是思维活跃，对英语学习有较高的热情和兴趣，配合度高。虽处于高年级学段，但仍然活泼好动，喜欢直观形象思维和抽象思维相结合，对游戏、竞赛、动手操作还有兴趣。通过四年的牛津教材学习，学生具备了一定的语言基础，养成了较好的语言思维习惯，初步具备了基本的听说读写能力。

【设计意图】

本单元的第一课时是由Kitty及Grandma的对话引出的泡茶步骤，在了解泡茶步骤的同时，学习泡茶的相关重点词汇teapot, must, boil, pour，更要引导学生学会使用四个顺序副词first, next, then, finally来描述泡茶的过程。我们在课堂上创设了泡茶这一情境，又增加了中、英茶文化的对比，让学生通过实践体验泡茶、品茶的过程来感受茶文化的情趣及意义，学习英语的同时也渗透着对茶文化的理解与感知。在此基础上，为第二课时Making tea for Grandpa起到了铺垫作用。

【模块教学任务分析】

5AM4的学习主题The natural world，包括Unit1 Water, Unit2 Wind, Unit3 Fire。本模块的学习内容包括：以水为主线，引导学生学习用英语描述泡茶的基本步骤以及大自然中有关谁的相关语言知识。通过对风的描写，感知风的变化，了解大自然的状态以及能针对不同的天气表达所能做的事情；同时，让学生初步了解副词，能适当区分副词和形容词。通过Jill’s father的消防员的工作来介绍火的危险性；同时，借助创设的防火、救火等情景引导学生学习相关语言知识。

【单元教学任务分析】

通过M4U1 Water这一单元的学习，引导学生学习有关水的语言知识。能用副词first, next, then, finally描述泡茶的基本步骤；了解我国第一大河长江的发源地，流经区域，最终流入大海，并能用表示顺序的副词进行描述，感受祖国河山的壮美；结合学生练习册，了解水在不同气温条件下呈现的三种状态；通过故事The journey of Dropy，了解水循环永不停息这一奇妙的自然现象，感知水在生活中的重要性，提高学生自主思维能力，培养英语阅读技能。

【单元教学目标】

1.能正确朗读、拼写first, next, then, finally, boil, pour, tea, drink等；

2.能灵活运用句型First,... Next,... Then,... Finally,... What’s next? Would you like some? It tastes great!等；

3.能正确朗读短文，熟练表演对话；

4.能在阅读短文的时候，根据问题抓住关键信息；

5.能通过阅读故事，了解水循环，感知其永不停息的自然现象；

6.能正确读出字母组合ch, g, j, sh, s的发音。
