Teaching aims and learning objectives: By the end of the le sson, the students should be able to: 1. understand the sto ry and find out what’s on grandpa’s farm; 2. get to know the meaning of “these,those ,apples, pears ,pigs , cows ”both in spoken and written forms, and pronounce them cle arly; 3. get to know the singular form and plural form of nouns; 4. get to know the differences between “these”an d “those”,and use them correctly; 5. use structures like “What are these / those ? The y’re...s . Are these / those …s?”etc.to talk about things on the farm 6. get interested in the nice things in our life.

Focus of the lesson: 1. understanding the story as a whole; 2. role playing the story with the right pronunciation, in tonation and sentence stress.
