Lesson 18 Three Kites in the Sky

一、教材分析

本节课的教学内容为冀教版小学英语六年级下册第三单元的第18课。本单元中，李明、詹妮和丹尼将尽情享受夏季的各种活动，并讨论他们的暑假计划。本课是一节故事课，是对本单元教学内容的运用和拓展，本课故事主要介绍了三个不同的风筝并通过故事赞美了外表平凡却心地善良勇敢的风筝，告诉学生美好的品德更受大家的喜爱和尊重。本课的故事符合六年级学生的认知水平，在教师的指导下学生容易理解故事，愿意进行故事的表演和创编。

二、学生分析

六年级的学生已经有了一定的语言基础，他们具备了一定的口语表达能力和阅读能力，能借助图片读懂简单的对话，表达情感并进行语言交流。在学习本课内容之前，学生已经学过了如何用will句型表达将要进行的活动，用形容词描述外貌等特点和基本的动词短语。这都为本课的学习奠定了基础。

三、教学目标

知识与技能目标：学生能利用上下文，图片理解故事，并正确朗读人物语言。

能就提问进行回答，复述故事。

能表演故事，激发表演热情。

情感态度目标：学生能够懂得美好品德更受人喜爱和尊敬。

学习策略目标：学生能树立阅读意识并形成阅读策略，例如猜测，寻读，划中心句。

通过共同完成活动，发展小组合作学习的学习策略。

四、教学重难点

重点：通过在图片和活动的引导下，学生能够理解故事。

难点：学生通过对故事的理解，简要复述并表演故事。

五、教学预设

Ⅰ.Warming-up 打招呼，并讲解本课学生评价模式。

T:Good afternoon,boys and girls.Everyone has a piece of paper.Please show me your paper.You can prize yourself for listening,speaking,reading and writing.If you do a good job,you can get a star.For example,if you answer my question, you can color a

star for speaking. 设计意图：用涂星星的方式让学生在听说读写四个方面进行教师评，自评，互评，鼓励学生积极参与到课堂中。

Ⅱ.Pre-reading

1.

Free talk. 出示风筝节的图片，讨论看到的图片。

T:Look at this picture.What can you see?There are many kites in the picture.I like to fly kites.Do you like to fly kites?Today we will learn a story about kites. 设计意图：出示和本课相关的图片，学生用学过的句子自由发言讨论，发散思维，同时引出本课话题。

2.

出示图一，通过询问天气和提问风筝正在做什么理解图一。

T:Look here.How’s the weather?It’s sunny and hot.And the wind is not too strong. So we can say it is a wonderful day.（跟读wonderful）

T:How many kites are there?What are they doing?Three kites are flying high in the sky.(领读该句) 通过猜测，观看动画整体感知文章。

T：What will they do?Let’s guess. 设计意图：讨论三只风筝在空中的图片，对故事进行整体把握。

Ⅲ.While-reading

1.

默读图二至图四，小组合作把风筝名字和外形连线。

T:What are their names?What do they look like?Read picture 2 to picture 4, then match. Do it on your paper in your group. 设计意图：通过阅读引导学生找出答案。整体认识三个风筝的外表特点。

2.

讨论喜欢哪只风筝，对风筝的特点进一步巩固。

T:Which kite do you like?Why? 指导学生有感情的读Kylie和Karla的话。

T:Kylie is beautiful.And she says... Karla is strong.And she says...

设计意图：让学生通过外表特征感知对风筝的喜好，为结尾做铺垫。

3.

抛出问题引出两只风筝在思考自己的美丽和强壮，并引导朗读两只风筝的对话。

T:Three kites are flying in the sky.Why are they so happy?Because Kylie thinks about... And she says... Karla feels... And she says... 4.

寻找第三只风筝，引出男孩需要帮助。提出两个问题，读图六，小组合作在答案下画下划线。

T:But where is Krista?Look!She is over there.She sees a boy swimming in the lake.What happens to the boy?What does Krista do?Read picture 6 then underline the answers.You can do it in your group. 引出Krista的话，指导朗读。

T:How does Krista call the other two kites?Let’s listen. 设计意图：小组合作采用寻读找出问题答案。

T:Think it over.If no one helps the boy,what will happen to him? 设计意图：抛出问题猜测下文，激发阅读兴趣。

6.

帮助引导学生理解男生被救的过程。

T:Don’t worry!Krista calls a man to help the boy.If you are the man,how can you help the boy?Let’s act out! 设计意图：鼓励学生表演男孩获救的过程，对故事内容加深理解，并增强阅读的趣味。

7.

引出Krista的话，指导朗读。

T:How does Krista call the man?Let’s listen! 8.

讨论现在喜欢哪只风筝及原因，并引出图8内容，指导朗读。

T：Which kite do you like now?Why?I think Krista is not beautiful or strong,but she has beauty of mind.So I like her.Do you agree? Yes,no one remembers beautiful Kylie and strong Karla,but everyone likes Krista.And they say...Can you read it? 9.

设计意图：再一次讨论喜欢的风筝，检验学生对主旨的把握。

Ⅳ.Post-reading

1.

大声朗读故事

T:Read the story loudly and quickly!

设计意图：大声朗读让学生加深对故事的理解，并锻炼良好的语音语调。

2.

在教师带领下复述故事。

T:Can you retell the story?Practice with your partners!Now,let’s retell the story together. 设计意图：对故事内容进行内化，形成自己的语言。

3.

四人一组表演故事。

T:Now let’s act out!Four students in a group! 设计意图：把所学知识消化后表演出来，在趣味性的基础上提高学生的想象力，提高学生综合运用语言的能力。

Ⅴ.询问学生获得星星的数量。进行评比和总结。
