Warming up and leading-in Enjoy an English song about hobbies. I like going to the cinema. It’s my hobby. (teach the word “ hobby ”)

I like reading books . It’s my hobby. So I have two hobbies.(teach the word “ hobbies ”)

Today we are going to learn Unit 4 Hobbies. Do you have any hobbies? Step II

Presentation

T: Different people have different hobbies. Let’s go and see.

(Use PPT to learn the new word: reading) T: Boys and girls, this is a girl. She is reading.(guide the pupils to speak out the word “reading” ) Reading, reading, she is reading. Reading, reading, I like reading. Then practise the word and the sentence in different ways: single, pair, group and so on. Use the similar ways to learn the words“singing , dancing and skateboarding and collecting erasers”.

When teaching “doing jigsaw puzzles, making models”, we can learn “jigsaw puzzles and models” first. It’s difficult for them. So practise it as much as possible and collect their pronunciation.
