Step 1. Warming-up and checking the first part of the homework

First,I will begin the class by asking them a question. T: If you have a chance to go abroad, which country would you like to go?Why?(the 1st part of the homework)

Then, I will ask several students to read their short passages in public. Step 2. Checking the second part of the homework

1. We will have a quiz about Canada.(the 2nd part of the homework)

In this part, I will the students two questions.

(1)What is the topic of this passage?

Answer: C Step4. Writing Task 1. Show the students the task of the writing and the basic

structure of the article.

Imagine that you are Li Hua in canada now and you love this

country very much. So you decide to write a letter to invite your best

friend-Li Ming to visit Canada. the structure(结构)of the article.

Task 2. Practice(group work)

First, ask the students to read the passage as quickly as possible and

then the students should select several sentences from the text to make up

the middle part of the passage.I will show them five sentences as

example sentences.

Example sentences

1.you are going to see some great scenery.

2.going eastward, you will pass mountains and thousands of lakes and

forests

as well as wide rivers and large cities.

3.skiing in the Rocky Mountains and sailing in the harbor make

Vancouver one of Canada's most popular cities to live in.

4. the coast north of Vancouver has some of the oldest and most beautiful

forests in the world.

5. It is so wet there that the trees are extremely tall, some measuring

over 90 meters.

Then, I will ask two students to go up to the platform to show their works

in public.
