课题名称：The Legacy of da Vinci 设计意图：

利用电子有声书既能听又能读的功能，提供听力及拓展阅读材料，同时通过电子词典积累词汇，并通过词典提供的基于记忆曲线算法的复习功能去复习巩固单词，让学生通过个性化的学习，提高阅读技巧及阅读能力，享受阅读并能爱上阅读。

授课时间：40分钟

（一）学生难度预测

高中学生基本都是通过做阅读理解题来训练阅读，所以一碰到长度稍长，生词稍多的文章就会害怕。学生希望教师提供更有趣且能兼顾不同学生水平的材料来进行阅读方法的指导，从而更有效地通过个性化阅读来获取信息，提高阅读能力。

（二）语言材料分析

本课时是高一的拓展阅读课，充分运用“i+1”语言材料选材原理，选用美国分级阅读教材Reading A-Z的Y级（对应中国高中学生水平）中的The Legacy of Da Vinci这本书，让学生获得高考阅读题型以外的语言输入。

（三）教学目标

1.

指导学生通过听力题的设计去把握信息获取的重点。

2. 培养学生阅读兴趣，通过阅读拓展文化知识，培养阅读素养。

3. 指导学生运用略读、跳读、猜读、细读等阅读技巧。

4. 提高学生的猜词能力，并指导学生使用电子词典学习记忆单词。

5. 指导学生根据自己的兴趣及水平来选择相应的阅读内容进行个性化阅读。

（四）学习目标

1. 学生能够通过听力题的设计去把握信息获取的重点。

2. 学生能够通过拓展阅读提高对英语阅读的兴趣。

3. 学生能够学会运用略读、跳读、猜读、细读等阅读技巧。

4. 学生能够通过语境猜测词义，并使用电子词典学习记忆单词。

5. 学生能够根据自己的兴趣及水平来选择相应的内容去进行个性化阅读。

（五）教学过程

教学步骤：

设计目的

Step 1 Lead-in 1. Get the Ss to look at the cover of the book. Ask for the name of the drawing (Uomo vitruviano) to introduce the topic of this class: The Legacy of da Vinci.

2. Ask the Ss what other masterpieces from Leonardo da Vanci they know and show them pictures of the paintings The last Supper, Mona Lisa and the virgin of the rocks.

目的：

用图片激发学生兴趣，引入本节课的阅读内容。并让学生了解更多相关的文化知识。

3. Get the Ss to read the first paragraph of page 21 to find how many masterpieces are mentioned. (Maybe they will say three, but in fact there are just two. Then analyze the sentence to explain why.) Step 2 Reading and listening

1. Group work:

1) Get Students A and D to read page 4 and 5, Students B and C page 6 and 7, and then ask them to prepare three questions for listening comprehension based on what they have read. 2) Get Students A and D to listen to page 6 and 7, Students B and C page 4 and 5, and then ask them to work in groups to ask and answer the questions they have prepared to get more information about Da Vinci. 2. Word study Ask the Ss to read the last part of Growing Up, and then guess the meaning of prankster

(P4), bizarre

(P4), apprentice (P7), commission (P8) and portrait (P8) according to the context. Step 3 Reading

1. Get the students to read Table of Contents on page 3 and lead them to read page 14. 2. Ask the Ss to guess the meaning of smear (P4) according to the context. Step 4 Free reading Get the students to skip through the rest of the eBook, reading any part they are interested in.

Step 5 Words sharing Get the students to share in groups the words they have put in their e-wordbook. Assignment Get the students to read the rest part of the eBook, and if they want, some other works related to Leonardo da Vinci.

目的：

让学生通过听力题的设计去把握信息获取的重点；通过听和读让学生了解达·芬奇的生活背景；指导学生如何通过上下文猜测词义。

目的：

通过略读的技巧引导学生去读电子书的一页，由此进一步激发学生的阅读兴趣。

目的：

让学生运用略读、跳读、猜读等技巧选择感兴趣的内容去细读。

让学生学会使用电子词典学习记忆单词。

让学生课后完成整本书的阅读。
