《金色教案》教学设计说明

About 通过本单元的学习，可以帮助学生了解农村、the 本单元以“农业”为中心话题，同时了解袁隆平博士的研究成果以及有topic and the 农业以及农作物耕种的基本知识；structures 单元话题和结构

机耕作的重大意义。

通过本单元的语言技能训练，要求学生学会有关农业的词汇，掌握动词-ing形式做主语和宾语的用法，同时进一步复习巩固任何表达意见和建议并学习任何设计英文广告。

本单元语言功能项目是：劝说。

本单元语言结构项目是：动名词形式做主语和宾语。

本单元还要求学生学习写作“劝说文/议论文：海报”。

《金色教案》教学设计在单元课时划分上与课本保持一致，即“阅读课、知识课、运用课三课时/三课型划分”。但在实际教学过程中，建议教师依据学生基础、教学条件、学校安排的因素，对课本、对《金色教案》教学设计重新划分课时，裁剪、拼接使用提供的材料，以便“物尽所用”，达到最佳教学效果。教师也可以参照《金色教案》提供的“实际教学过程课时划分建议”进行教学。

阅读课

Warming Up以农村、农业以及农作物耕种为话题，让学生讨论对农村和农业劳动的认识和经验。这一话题的引入，可以帮助学生更深刻地理解袁隆平博士的研究成果的价值。教师可以选用本书提供的Warming up by questioning/ Warming up by seeing and listening进行热身教学。

Pre-reading

课本设置的两个问题可以帮助学生理解课文，同时培养他们的同情心和人道主义精神。也可以以Pre-reading by questioning and answering形式进行预读。

5. Reading and underlining

A really useful way to help us with our listening is to become aware of ‘thought groups’ . When we speak, we need to divide speech up into small ‘chunks’ to help the listener understand messages. These chunks or thought groups are groups of words which go together to express an idea or thought. In English, we use pauses and low pitch to mark the end of thought groups. Next you are to read the text, dividing the text into thought groups and circling all the useful expressions or collocations in the passage. Copy them into your notebook after school as homework. Yuan Longping, China's Most Famous "Farmer"

Yuan came up with the idea of hybridizing rice for the first time in the world in 1960s.Since then, 50 percent of China's total rice cultivation fields have grown such rice, which added some 300 billion kilograms to the country's grain output.
