Step I. Leading in--Filling and retelling

Ask 2 students to show their work of filling the blanks and try to retell the passage discussed during the last class.

Step II. Learning about language—Group work

1. Before the class, the teacher will deliver a learning paper to every student and tell the whole class what they need to do and show them the following requirement. Requirement: The whole class is divided into 7 groups and each group get 2 sentences from this unit. Each group need to finish the task with the group members before the class and the representative uses the group’s own way to show the work. 2. During the class, after the retelling, teacher will ask the representatives to show their group work as follow in order to check students’ group cooperation work and help the whole class to learn by themselves.

During this process, the teacher is just a monitor aside to observe each group’s performance and interaction with other students.

Step III. Make some comments on the group work and summarize. After the analysis, teacher makes some comments on the group work with the whole class and asks students to summarize what they have discussed and learned today by showing a mind map. Step IV. Practice Ask students to review their answers of this part and discuss with their partners. Then Ask several students to show their answers and check them with the whole class. I.
