本册教材体现了交际教学思想，注重学生语言应用能力培养。教材在整体构思、内容安排、活动设计和教学方法选用等方面都紧密联系学生的生活实际，贯彻了语言的交际功能和语言应用的基本原则，把知识和技能目标融汇在完成任务的过程中。

教材分析：

本单元的设置是在实际生活的场景中掌握规则的用法及理解准守规则的含义，并能在他人做错的情况下进行劝阻，了解无规矩不成方圆的含义，并最终提高学生自身的道德素养。本单元在英语学习和日常表达中有着不可忽视的重要作用。

五年级的孩子经过前两年英语学习，已经能够达到自由表达，他们喜欢模仿、表学情分析：

演以及展示自己，善于观察、分析和小组合作，具备一定的思考能力和创造能力，通过本单元的校规家规的学习，学生已具备一定遵守规则的意识及表述规则的能力。 1) 能在相关真实语境中，正确听、说、认读下列表示表示公共规则的词汇短语：

wait for the green light ,cross the street, spit on the ground, litter, keep off the grass, pick the flowers, take good care of young children。

2）能够在真实的语境中正确听、说、认读以下规则用语:You mustn’t cross the street now. You must wait for the green light.You mustn’t spit on the ground. You mustn’t litter.You must keep off the grass. You mustn’t pick the flowers. 教学目标：

You must take good care of young children. 3）能够掌握must 和mustn’t 的用法。

4）能够培养学生遵守公共规则的意识，养成从身边小事做起，力所能及的为社会做贡献的良好习惯！

5）能够通过小组合作，正确判断是非，并能做到规劝他人，提高自身的道德素养。体会英语中如何使用不同的口吻和语气表述规则，命令他人或规劝他人。
