Design Purpose:

To stimulate Ss’

interest in this story. Enjoy a song and then show the

students some pictures. Appreciate some pictures of the women champions to lead

the Ss to the topic: women were not allowed to take part in ancient Olympics.

Design Purpose:

To get a brief understanding of the passage.

Listen to the story while reading the passage to find out the characters in it.

Step3. Careful-reading

Design Purpose:

To make the Ss further understand the text.
