一、教学目标：

1.能听懂、会说、会读日常交际用语及句型I can play basketball . Can you play basketball ? Can Mike…? 及回答Yes, I/he can. No, I / he can’t. 及词汇very well，have a try并能初步运用。

2.能主动运用Nice！Cool！Great!夸赞他人。用Have a try!鼓励他人。

3.能正确理解Story time故事，用较好的语音语调朗读对话，并尝试表演。

4.通过学习故事激发学生对运动的热爱，激发学生遇到困难敢于尝试的勇气，从而培养学生的自信心。

二、教学重点：

正确理解故事，并会有感情地朗读。

三、教学难点：

能对句型Can …?作出正确应答。

Step 1. Warming up

1. Sing a song together.《I can swim and I can jump》《B song》

Step 2.Free talk T: B is for ball. I like balls.

Do you like balls?

Do you have any balls?

How many balls do you have?

Step 3. Presentation and practice Look, Miss Ding has many balls here.

Riddle1: Look at the screen，I have a big ball, it’s black and white. You can play it with your foot(脚). Guess, what’s this?

…You can speak in Chinese. Ss: 足球。

T: Yes, it’s a football. 新授：football

T: Can you play football? Ss: Yes. I can. /No, I can’t. （can’t=cannot教师提醒学生注意两个a的不同发音）

S: No, I can’t. T: I can’t play football, either. But I know a boy can play football well. He’s in our class, He is tall. And he is in our school’s football team. Look，（点课件）, who is he? Ss: He’s xxx. T: Where’s xxx? S：Here, here, here! T: xxx, can you play football well? S: Yes, I can. T：Great！

Miss Ding can’t play football. （拿出篮球实物）But I can play basketball.

Today we’re going to learn Unit 4 I can play basketball . (揭题)

2. Watch and choose T：Our old friends are coming.

Look at the picture. Who are they? S: Mike, WangBing and LiuTao.

3.Try to ask.

T: They are playing basketball. But, who can play basketball? Can you ask? You can use “Can …？”
