Multi-media Teaching procedures: Step 1 Greetings

T: Greet the students as usual.

Aim: the students will focus their attention on the class. Step 2 Lead in T: present a funny picture and a sentence: I find the picture________.

S: be attracted to the class and begin to think about the problem.

Aim: attract the students’ attention to the topic through a funny picture, and help the students to understand the term of object complements. Step 3 Review objective complements

T: present a list of 9 sentences which including object complements S: find out the object complements Aim: get the students familiar with objects complements and help them know that different words acting as object complements

Step 4

T: present a list of sentences including V +O + OC structure: especially non-infinitives act as object complements.

S: to sum up the usage of structures including :

see…/make/ get / have/ leave/ keep / find/ catch + O + OC,

Aim: help students have a better understanding of the structure Step 5

Drawing conclusions

T & S : to sum up : N, ADJ, ADV, Prep-phrase, -ing, -ed, to do can all act as object complements Aim: to get the students have a clearer and better understanding of the structure.

Step 6 Brainstorming related structures T & S : to sum up

with + O + OC structure Aim: due to the previous study, the students will find it easy to understand the with + O + OC structure, and thus they will have no difficulty finishing the exercise. In this way, they will gain confidence in English learning.

Step 7 Exercise S: Do the exercise from 1 to 10 and two students present their answers on the blackboard Aim: to put what they have learned into practice to consolidate the important points and help them to further understand the structure.

Step8 Conclusion and homework

Finish the exercise from No.11 to No. 30 to consolidate the key points.
