To get students have a general knowledge of stress(重读) and intonation(语调) in imitation reading. 2.

To listen to a text for useful information by taking notes while listening according to 5W and 1H: who, where, when, what, why, how... 3.

To arouse students’ interest in listening and speaking. 【Teaching procedures】

Step 1. Leading-in. Watch a short video and pay attention to their pronunciation and intonation and make out which speaker’s English is better.

Step 2. Self-learning Task 1: Part A: Listen to a tape, and pay attention to the stress, the pronunciation and intonation of different kinds of sentences. Then mark out the stress with “____”and intonation with “

”(rising tone：升调), “
