4. Teaching procedures Show a short video about 2018 Xi’an International Marathon before class.(课前播放视频) （1）lead-in Ask the following question to lead in the topic. T: Question: What does the video talk about? Ss: Answer: It talks about 2018 Xi’an International Marathon.

T: Yes, in this class, our task is to report 2018 Xi’an International Marathon with emphatic structures. Now let’s learn the first structure from a short video. After seeing the video, you need to answer the following two questions. So, you can take notes on your papers. (2)

Aim2: We can recognize the emphatic pattern. Task2: Observe the following sentences and answer the following question: It was the Marathon that started on Yongning Gate Square at 7:30. It was on Yongning Gate that the Marathon started at 7:30. It was at 7:30 that the Marathon started on Yongning Gate Square. Question: If we leave out “ it was… that…” from the sentences, can we still get a correct sentence?(如果我们省略句子中的it was和that，剩下部分还是不是一个正确的句子？) 强调句型的特点（判断强调句型的方法）：
