Ⅰ

Design philosophy

New curriculum standard suggests teachers create real language acquisition situation so that students can acquire language in a relatively real language environment. Therefore, I will avoid traditional instilling teaching method and adopt a new method, that is learning by using and using by learning in this class. I will try to inspire students to discover, summarize the use of the present perfect passive voice and use it in the activities organized in this class. Ⅱ

Analysis of students 1.Class level: As a whole, the students of Class One Senior One are a little poor at English. Most of them lack confidence, and thus they can’t volunteer to voice their opinion bravely. In order to motivate them to take part in the learning procedure, I’ll hold all kinds of activities to attract them to be involved in.

2.Knowledge base: Students have already mastered the present simple passive voice, the past simple passive voice and the simple future passive voice. What’s more, they have learnt the present perfect tense. Ⅲ

Teaching aims 1.Aims of language knowledge : Enable students to master the use of the present perfect passive voice and use it in later study and real life. 2．Aims of language skill :Enable students to use the present perfect passive voice in listening, speaking, reading and writing activities freely. 3．Aims of emotion and attitude: Inspire students to take an active part in the class activities and have fun in learning in groups, thus improving their cooperation awareness. Last but not the least, hopefully inspire students to love our school and city by showing them the changes taking place in our school and city. 4．Aims of learning strategy：Enable students to summarize the use of the present perfect passive voice and put it into practice.。

Teaching procedures Step Ⅰ: Leading in & Presentation

Briefly revise how computers have been changed by enjoying

a short video.

(This is intended to revise and practice students’ listening ability).

Step Ⅱ

: Discovering & Inducting

1. Present some sentences from the text in which the present

perfect passive voice is used. Get Ss to underline the same language

structure of the sentences

2. Let Ss induct the structure and function of the present perfect passive voice. Structure:

have/has

(This is designed to let students further revise the text , get to know the structure of the present perfect passive voice and then summarize it by themselves )

Step Ⅲ

Practice

Task 1. Ask Ss to turn some active voice sentences into passive ones. Task 2. Make more sentences .Ask the students to make some sentences with the present perfect passive voice according to the pictures and key words.

(This is intended to let students to get more familiar with the

structure and try to use it in real situation, thus improving students’ speaking ability)

Step Ⅳ: Using language

Task 1. Interview Based on the pictures and the sentenced made by themselves, students are supposed to make a dialogue in groups. (Background

information: Yidu has just been entitled the Civilized City of China. A reporter from CCTV interviews the mayor of Yidu. (Group work) Task 2 Writing

Suppose you are a citizen of Yidu, the reporter from CCTV asks you to write an article to describe the changes taking place in Yidu. ( This is intended to inspire students to use the present perfect passive voice to communicate with each other in real situation. Through the tasks, students’ communication skills and writing abilities are expected to improve, thus consolidating the structure acquired in this class.) Step Ⅴ

Homework

1. Revise the use of the present perfect passive voice and keep the structure of the present perfect passive voice.

2. Write a composition: Great changes in my school. (Make sure to use the present perfect passive voice as much as possible. )
