本节课是第一单元的故事板块，呈现的是Zoom和Zip招聘足球守门员的故事。学生除了复习巩固句型How tall are you ? How heavy are you ? I’m …He’s bigger than …,以外，还可以通过图片和上下文理解新句子：Football needs teamwork. Analysis of the students

学生已经在前面掌握了How tall are you ? How heavy are you ? I’m …He’s bigger than …句型，但故事中还有比较多的新的词汇，以及句型He’s10 centimetres taller than …

需要学生提前预习或自主学习，以便更好地理解故事内容。

2. 能理解故事内容，能表演故事，还能恰当的运用故事中的语言。

3. 学生能意识到团队合作的重要性，增强团队合作的意识。

Teaching Steps

Step1 Warm-up 1.

Greetings. 2.

Sing a song. Girls sing the first paragraph , boys sing the second paragraph. Who is better ? Boys or girls? Let’s go on PK in this lesson, OK?（

设计意图：通过歌曲活跃气氛并激发学生比赛欲望）

Step2 Presentation 1.

T: Whose cat is smaller in the song ? Whose dog is bigger ? Look, Yifan’s cat is small , but Sarah’s cat is smaller. John’s dog is big, but Mike’s dog is bigger . Look at me, I’m young ,who ‘s younger than me ? Come to the blackboard and say" I am younger than you ".（由歌曲内容复习单词比较级再由比较级引出最高级）

Guessing game.

T: I’m tall, so how tall am I ? How heavy am I ? Teach “centimetres”and “kilograms”. (通过猜谜自然引导学生学习两个生词)

Look, who’s he ? Is he lovely ? What do you want to know about him ? You can ask me some questions about him. （创设语境，由老师说到让学生自己提问，恰当的运用句型询问身高和体重。）

Compare me with my son. Teach the sentence: I am 58 cm taller than my son. . Teach the sentence: I am__ kg heavier than my son. Teach“reach”. （通过形象直观的图片，让学生理解两者比较的差距的句子表达方式，并解决生词“reach”,为下文的故事教学做好铺垫）

（由师问生答到生问师答再到生生互问互答，通过不同形式的问答练习，学生熟练掌握了句型）

Step3 Story time 1.

T: How tall are you? How tall is your partner ? You’re strong , can you play football? Have you ever been a goalkeeper ? （通过师生对话自然导入故事内容）

Teach the word “goalkeeper”

and “goal”. Do you want to be a goalkeeper ? Would you like to have a try ? Who want to kick the ball ? （让学生上台表演踢球和接球，活跃了课堂气氛，同时让学生理解“catch the ball”）

Activity 2 Discuss : what does a goalkeeper look like ? 4.

He should be _______ . （通过讨论让学生对守门员形象有所了解，为后文故事理解做好铺垫。）

Activity 3Watch the story and answer: goalkeeper is very important to win a football match . Zip and Zoom will have a football next week, now they need a new goalkeeper.

Activity 4 Read and answer T: Can they be the goalkeepers? Why? Read the story by yourself and try to find the answer. Explain the reasons and Ss watch a video about teamwork.（学生通过自读故事深入了解故事内容，通过问答及课堂板书，学生在比较中了解适合守门员的人选。通过联系上下文及视频观看了解团队合作的重要性。）
