Check their exercises about noun clauses. Analyze the sentences by telling others which part is the clause and what clause it is.

Get the Ss to rewrite the following passage by using as many noun clauses as possible.

A trip to Shanghai Disney Resort

Shanghai Disney Resort is the sixth theme park. It is built by Walt Disney Company in the

world. It attracts thousands of visitors every day. There is a Chinese garden called Gardens of

imagination in the centre of the park. It is designed for Chinese visitors.

There are many attractions. They appeal to children and adults. It was exciting to explore in

Adventure Isle. Then I went to Tomorrow Land to explore the new world. I took photos with many

of my favourite Disney characters. Finally, I bought some souvenirs.

It’s a fantastic trip. I want to visit it again in the future.

Ask several students to give some examples about their rewriting.

Activity VII. Homework (To help the Ss understand the grammar and learn how to use noun clauses correctly) 1.

Revise noun clauses, mark what they can not understand and ask me for help. 2.

Rewrite the passage with as many noun clauses as possible, they can use other complex sentences too.
