I. Teaching Content: 1.
Vocabulary:wash the dishes, dry the dishes, water the plants, sweep the floor,hang up the clothes, fold the clothes. Sentence patterns: How do you help at home?

II. Analysis of the lesson 1.
Analysis of content Vocabulary for housework is not difficult to students. They have learned most of them, e.g. wash, table, water. So it’s not difficult for them to pronounce them. Besides, the things are all about their daily life. It’s also not difficult for them to understand. The key point is to let them remember the phrases of housework and use them in their daily life. 2. Analysis of the learner Students have already acquired many skills in listening, speaking and cooperative learning. Their passion for English is growing. Students may find it quite challenging to remember new things, but if time allowed, they are able to conquer the difficulties at last. In this lesson, they will be quite interested in learning things about housework.
III. Objectives 1. Students will be able to read and remember the phrases of housework with and without the help of pictures. They will also be able to pronounce them clearly and well. 2. Students will be able to use the sentence patterns with the vocabulary in their daily life.
IV. Key points and difficulties analysis 1.
Key points:

2. Difficulties:
Students may have problems in pronouncing and remembering some of the new words, like “fold, hang”.
Some students may find it a little bit challenging to use the sentence patterns in daily life.
V. Teaching strategies 1. Apply situational learning teaching strategy and set situations in order to stimulate students’ interests and introduce the meaning of the target language. 2. Apply TPR games to have students fully participate in teaching activities.
3. Group work will make the students get more engaged.

本节课主要创设了五一劳动节即将来了,学校举办家务小达人比赛的情境。本节课设计用家务小达人比赛的情境和家务大调查的活动贯穿整节课。
先通过学校的小记者介绍比赛项目让学生整体感知我们要学的六个短语(hang up the clothes/fold the clothes/water the plants/sweep the floor/wash the dishes/dry the dishes)。然后引导学生通过看小记者采访视频找出采访问题,也是本课的重点句子:How do you help at home?接着让学生再看调查视频找出答案:I hang up the clothes. I fold the clothes. 等短语!看视频出示短语,让学生上台体验,在情境中体验和运用句子,例如家务PK,模仿小记者采访等一系列的活动。出示完短语和句子后,把韵律加入进去句子当中,串成一个chant,巩固学生记忆。之后小组活动做小组家务达人调查,看看谁是小组里最能干的人。小组做调查后,每个小组选出最能干的人上台PK,最终选出班级最能干的人去参加学校的家务小达人比赛。
课后反思,课堂环节可以设计更流畅些,比如板书设计可以做成调查表的形式,那么在team work环节,学生做调查更有指向性。最后的学生投票环节,规则可以讲得更清晰一些,这样学生对怎么投票会更清晰,知道该怎么投。
