Teaching plan--Vocabulary and writing

Teaching aims: 1. Help students finish the writing task by using proper words and expressions they have already learned.

2. Build up students’ confidence in writing a good article by using proper words and expressions they have learned.

Teaching procedures: Lead in 1.

Show the students the writing task of 2018 NMET, ask “ Is it difficult to write a good

English article?”

Show the students some examples of English article. 3.

What makes a good English article?

Task 1: Revision

1.

read some of the words and expressions from Unit 1 & 2 of Book 7. 2.

Have a quiz.

Task 2: Exercise

1.

complete the sentences, using the words or expressions in Task 1. 2.

Check

Task 3: Show the students the writing task of 2013NMET, help them finish parts of the writing in which the words and expressions in Task 1 can be used.

Task 4: Team work 1.

Show the students the writing task of 2006 NMET, group members discuss and finish parts of the writing , using words and expressions they have learned. 2.

Show the work of some groups.

Assignment:

Polish the sentences and put them together to finish the writhing task, using proper transitional words when necessary.
