1．掌握四会单词：younger, older, taller, shorter, longer

2．能认读句型：How tall are you? I'm 1.61 metres.You're older than me.

3．能够运用新学的内容完成“Do a survey and report”任务。

Step 1 预习温故

1．日常口语练习

T：Good morning, boys and girls.How are you today?

Ss：I'm fine. Thank you. And you?

T：I'm fine, too. Thank you.

2．Play a game.(打开课件，播放人物图片)

T：Look! I'm tall and old.How about you?

S1：I'm thin and short.What's your father like?

S2：My father is strong and tall.

Step 2 新课内容展示

1．请两个孩子到讲台上。

T：How old are you?

S1：I'm 11 years old.

T：You are young.(板书young)

S2：I'm 12 years old.

T：You are young, too.

T：Who is younger?

S1：I'm younger.(板书younger)

T：Who is older?

S2：I'm older.(板书old—older)

T：Yes, S1 is younger than S2. S2 is older than S1

T：Say I'm tall.(做手势)

S1：I'm tall.

S2：I'm tall，too.(板书tall)

T：Who is taller? Who is shorter?

Ss：S1 is taller.S2 is shorter.

老师再拿两把长短不一的直尺教会“longer, shorter，than”。

2．使用准备好的单词卡片巩固所学单词并加强对单词“metre”的掌握。

Eg: one metre, two metres, 1.61 metres, 4.76 metres

3．T：How tall are you? S：I'm…metres.

A is taller than B．B is shorter than A.

4．小组反复操练以上句型。

5．Let's learn page 5.听录音，仿读单词和对话。

6．巩固练习。

a．看口型，猜单词。

b．抽卡片猜单词。

7．Pair work.

全班四人一小组，根据实际情况灵活运用今天所学习的五个新单词造句，并且能够拿自己与他人进行比较，用英语表述出来。

1．领读Let's learn中的句子，并纠正读音。

2．T：How tall is Zhang Peng?

S：He is 1.61 metres.

T：Who is older？Zhang Peng or John?

S：Zhang Peng.

T：Zhang Peng is taller and older than John.

3．灵活运用所学单词和句子。

4．完成课本中Do a survey and report。(学生反复操练)

5．句子接龙游戏。

S1：I’m taller than you.

S2: I’m stronger than you.
