T: What are you doing? S: We are enjoying our playtime. T: Our friends Bill and Joy are enjoying their playtime, too. Let’s see together. Step2 Presentation: 1. Show the main scene of Lesson 2. T: Let’s see the picture. Can you see grass/trees/…?

2. Show a picture about riding a bike.

(1) Lead students to speak the phrase “ride a bike”. T: What can he do? S: Ride a bike.

T: If we don’t know whether someone can ride a bike, how do we ask? S: Can you ride a bike? (2) Analyze the functional sentence “Can you…?” “Yes, I can.”

“No, I can’t.”

(3) Practice the sentences by using the pictures. 3. Watch the video and answer the questions. Q1: Who can play football? Q2: Who can ride a bike?

4. Watch the video again and imitate sentence by sentence. 5. Read the dialogue by groups.

Step 3 Practice 1. Let’s talk. Students use the models to make a dialogue. 2. Let’s survey Imitate part B to make a survey. Two students a group make a survey.

Step 4 Consolidation Teacher use the models to help students reviewing the functional sentence.
