Lesson 21 A party for LiMing ! 一.Teaching Objectives and Demands: 1.Student can understand read say and practice the drill and the dialogue of this lesson.

2.Student can understand read and say the following words:early and late, begin, party and surprise. 3.Ss can understand and practice the future tense. 二.The Importance and The Difficult point: The importance: Practice the dialogue. The difficult point: future tense. 三.Teaching Aids: some pictures, some vocabulary cards some real objects and one tape-recorder 四.Allocation of time: one course 五.Teaching steps:

Step 1.Organizing the teaching 1.Greetings 2.Sing an English song

Step 2. Revision 1.Play “Before and After”

to review the vocabulary cards in this unit. Step 3.Key concepts: early and late, begin, party, surprise 1

1.Introduce:

a. Demonstrate “early”

“late”

and “begin”

together. Draw a big clock on the BB that shows the time that your English class begins. Facing the clock, write “before” on the left and “after” on the right. Lead a dialogue such as:

T: We are learning English now. This is English class. When does English class begin? When does it begin? At _____(time). When does it begin?

S:At______.

T:Right! Look! Here’s____. He/She came before_____(time). He/She is early. Early. Is he/she early?

S:Early.

The same way with “late”.

b. Demonstrate “party” with large vocabulary cards.

c.Role-play to demonstrate “surprise”.

T: (To a volunteer) I put something in your desk.(to a class).Does ___know what’s in his/her desk, class?

S: No! 2

T: Good! _____doesn’t know what I put in his/her desk. It’s a surprise! A surprise! Say it ,please!

S: Surprise! 2.Student book :

Play the audiotape as the Ss follow along their books. 3.Practice:

Divide the class into small groups. Ask each group to make up a dialogue about organizing a surprise party for a friend.

六.Students’ activity: 1.Sing the English song. 2.Play “before and after”. 3.Role play “surprise”. 4.Imitation. 5.Practice the new words with a drill. 6.Groupword to make up a ddialogue. 七.Blackboard:
