of century from an encyclopedia. It is mainly divided into two parts,page1 and page2. teaching material

Page1 is to show us some methods of sailing the oceans by using nature at that time in which there are some specific methods introduced, keeping alongside the coastline, using celestial bodies(north star and sun ), using wildlife(seaweed and birds), using the weather(clouds, fog, winds) and using the sea. Page2 is to introduce the use of navigational instruments, including finding longitude and finding latitude(the bearing circle, the astrolabe, the quadrant and the sextant).
